Well, We can't exactly say Netvibes is faster than Google Reader or vice a versa, because they just don't match up!

Google Reader is a feedreader, whereas Netvibes is simply everything. It's a AJAX desktop remember?

Hmm.. I see...
When I started using Netvibes, I was just hooked. But it didn't decrease my productivity, as far as I can guess.
But, as I added more feeds to my page, Netvibes became too slow and I had to quit. But I think it's a good one when harnessed properly. And obviously, that's just my opinion.

I disagree with Darren. Actually, I started using Netvibes for a few days and later found out that it was killing productivity, as I get hooked up something else on Netvibes.

What are your thoughts over this?

I have used Netvibes. It's really a good product to start with. But now, for some reason, I'm satisfied with Google Reader. But, Netvibes is still a good tool for bloggers.

Wonderful!
but I never really felt the importance of Netvibes. I simple use FeedDemon and Firefox Quick Search (not the search box to the upper right, but the address bar). Occasionally on road, I use Google Reader.
