Manage open windows with Deskloops

DeskLoops, a very cool software from Xilokit, helps you manage scuffled windows.

Every so often, your screen gets messed up with a lot of Windows. Pain.

A lot of tools are available that let you organize your windows, saving you time. One such tools is DeskLoops, and it’s a bit different from other conventional ones.

Let me show you how it works:

DeskLoops creates a ‘loop’ of open windows – like a band. Take for example: You have 3 windows open – Window1, Window2, Window3. With Deskloops, they are arranged in a loop-like fashion.

Suppose you’re in Window2, and you move your cursor to the left of your screen you’re shown Window1 and when you point your cursor to the right of your screen when you’re on Window2, you’re taken to Window3. You can control the moving speed by the vertical motion of your cursor. No more overlapping of open windows. Here you go:

Plus, you get an bar on top that shows up a thumbnail of all open windows in a loop. The bar itself is called a ‘Strip’. The strip can be brought to view if you hover your mouse on top of the screen. You can rotate a strip by using your mouse wheel. Get instant access to your windows.

What’s your view on DeskLoops? Or do you use any other better tool than this one? Share your views in the comments.

SankarAnand: It doesn’t seem to consume excess resources by the way. :)
