Blogroll Page: WordPress Plugin
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed to receive the latest updates. Thanks for visiting!
For the benefit of SEO, you might have moved your blogroll to a separate page on your blog (instead of having them in the homepage), like I have done here. Remember: less outgoing links, better SEO.
But on the down side of it, you have to type in manually all links, instead of using WordPress’s Blogroll facility.
Here’s a new solution to it: Use the newly released Blogroll Page plugin for WordPress. You now need not enter links manually in your separate blogroll page. This plugin extracts all links from the Blogroll in WP database and publishes them on the page you specify - time saved.
Just download the plugin, install and activate it, put the text <!–blogroll-page–> in the page’s content. All bookmarks will be imported from WP’s blogroll and will be linked from here.
You can also configure the plugin to open these links in a new window.

Nice plugin! But I have manually written the links in the Links page as I have not added it into blogroll.
Hi I use blogspot one.I know wordpress is a better option.Ill be moving to wordpress in a few days once I get some money for it.Also Instead of inserting links in blogroll you can insert it in the blog post itself. In between sentences we can link.EX:
I read this topic at gizmodo today.
Now gizmodo will be a link which will lead to gizmodo. This is a nice way of linking.
Your blog posts are useful friend.
Ah theme change and no announcement. I was just randomly checking your site and see that you have adopted the freshy theme :).
I was also using this theme and the only thing I didn’t like in this theme was the footer (the recent entries and popular posts are propbably better off in the sidebar.
i am also thinking to move blogroll to a new page. i will try this plugin
RamKarthik: Thanks for dropping by.
Venu: Yeah, umpteenth?! theme change on my blog. Thanks for your view, but I found this theme very good that’s why I installed it here.
Ram: I think you should definitely consider using this plugin if you’re moving links to a separate page.
I would instead use the PHP Exec plugin because it is more multi purpose
Blogroll Plugin basically does the same job as the PHPEXEC plugin but the PHPExec plugin can server you with better results and more dynamic features
Dj Flush: You’re right. But this plugin will be useful for WP newbies
Thanks for introducing me to this plug in! This is perfect for when I just want to do link exchange and the links are not a resource for the niche my site represents.
I had no idea that increased outgoing links decreases SEO. I generally categorize by blogroll into section and from time to time when the length of the blogroll is too much I simple move all or parts of it onto a separate WP page.
Just like Nirmal, I’ve been doing this manually, but I was not doing this for SEO reasons! (In fact like Jennifer Laycock, and others, I’m really interested in growing independent of SEO considerations.
I needed the space for profit centers and for increased focus on my landing page content/niche. Nice to know that it may be helping me in other ways–for the moment. Those SE are so fickle at times!
I’m glad you found it useful, Nia. Your blog has a peculiar niche BTW.
Hi Shankar. Thanks for linking to my blog.I have linked to you in turn. You can see your link in my blog under the name Blogs I Frequently Visit. It would be great,if you introduce me to all your other friends and tell them to link to my blog.Ill also link to everyone from my blog.I actually need a good page rank.Thanks.(Also I have subscribed to your blog).
This is a cool find, I was on the lookout for something like this.
Btw you changed your theme. I also prefer Fresh theme but I have made few changes in the archives page and search page as it did not show up correctly.
Techie Buzz: I’m glad you found the plugin useful. Yeah, I’ve changed the theme. Some issues.
Ramkarthik: I’ve added you to my blogroll too. And thanks for subscribing to my blog.

@Kumz: The plugin doesn’t have a ‘categorizing feature’. My links page was built manually, I don’t use that plugin for my blogroll page.
