Google News launched a new image version, to see it in action go to Google News, currently it appears to me that it is only available in US. The new version adds a text link “Image Version” on the home page when you click this link you will see News Images as square thumbs. Mouse hover any news image its related story will be pulled to top on the right side of the screen.
