Tabby Firefox Extension: Control how tabs behave

Advertisements

The Tabby Firefox Extension lets you control the way tabs on Firefox behave.

Tabby controls where tabs open and which previous tab gets selected when a tab closes. For both open and close, Tabby can defer to the browser (with or without another tab-controlling extension), always go leftmost or rightmost, use the relative position either leftward or rightward, or go completely random.

For tab closing, one more option ensures the Last Active Tab is always chosen. Also, with an additional “Stay On Target” feature, if the Tab that’s closing is NOT the one that’s focused, or selected, then the selected Tab stays selected, despite the closing behavior. Additional advanced features include:

Seems a pretty geeky extension, give it a try if you like it.

I am definitely going to try this extension

  3. I like the tab behavior control this extension offers. I will have to make sure Tab Mix Plus doesn’t already offer these features. If it doesn’t, I’ll feature this in my next week’s Firefox Extension picks..
