My Desktop
Madhur recently tagged me for the “What’s on your Desktop” meme.
Here goes my simple desktop with nothing special

It’s time for me to tag others. I’d like to tag Ken Xu, Sankar Anand, Rishi, Ashish, Sumesh to share their desktop screenshots with everyone!
How I manage time between blogging and studies
Vivien of Inspiration Bit is conducting a group writing project and is getting inputs from people on how they manage their time. Just thought of pouring down my thoughts.

Top free Download Managers for windows
We all download loads of softwares and tools everyday from the internet. Some of us have download queues that never end. Not all of us have high speed connections though.

So the best thing to do is try some download managers for Windows that actually help you in managing your downloads efficiently and also help in speeding them up.
Download BitTorrent 6.0
BitTorrent, a very popular torrents client has gone into version 6 with a revamped user interface, and has added new features in the latest version.
Photobucket – Bulk upload photos
Photobucket, one of my favourite image uploading services has gone ahead and added some new and exciting features. Photobucket now sports a slightly redesigned homepage, private/public setting of photo albums, enhanced Adobe Premier to edit and remix photos and videos.

One important feature that has been added recently is the ability to bulk upload photos to your Photobucket account via a web-based interface.
Kazaa Uninstaller
Kazaa is a P2P file sharing desktop client, and has a high reputation for the number of spywares that it comes attached with. Though Kazaa’s official website claims it to be spyware free, many users who’ve downloaded and tried it have suffered from innumerable virus attacks and spyware threats.

These spywares and other bundled adware don’t get uninstalled completely from Windows even when you try to remove them from the Control Panel.
Ubuntu themes for Windows XP
Earlier, I had written about Windows Vista themes for XP – it got a good response, so just thought of compiling a list of Ubuntu themes for Windows XP.
Some of you might be unable to use Ubuntu on your computers, due to some problems or issues. But you may miss the look and feel of Ubuntu on Windows. So, here’s a list of Ubuntu themes for Windows XP to keep you satisfied, and to keep that boring default Luna theme away.
Download OpenOffice 2.3
OpenOffice.Org is a very good, open source alternative to proprietary office suites, and is available free of cost just like any other open source application. OpenOffice 2.3 was scheduled to be released on September 17, 2007 but it has been made available a day earlier on some download mirrors.

AirTalkr – AIR based Instant Messenger
You’ve seen Pidgin, Trillian, Miranda IM and more. But here’s one more – but a bit different – it’s AirTalkr, and like rest others it’s a multiprotocol instant messaging client, and is based on Adobe AIR platform – but there’s more to it, than just a messenger.

AirTalkr has got all the features that an IM client should have: it can connect to many protocols that include MSN, Jabber, Yahoo!, ICQ, Google Talk, AIM and more. But AirTalkr also has features that most IM Clients do not have. In fact, it’s a kind of a desktop web 2.0 networking tool.
First Impressions on Yahoo’s new social network – Mash
Yahoo! is rolling out a new social network, Mash. It’s invite based, and is refreshing. Completely AJAXified, the network has more or less all the features that you’d would love to have in a social network. Thanks to Sankar Anand, I got an invite and signed up.

Yahoo! Mash, just like any other social network, gives you a profile page that not only you can customize, but also your friends. Your buddies can add stuff (modules) to your profile page and spice ‘em up.
