Map your blog’s visitors with maps.amung.us

For all those website stat addicts out there, a new tool has launched from the makers of whos.amung.us.

Whos.amung.us is a very interesting service that launched a few months back - they provided a little button that indicated the number of visitors that were online realtime on your website/blog - you just had to place a code on your site. It’s all done.
Now they’ve gone ahead and launched yet another free tool to track where your visitors are coming from, again realtime.
Go to maps.amung.us, choose the size, the map style (this is pretty funky, I should say), pin style (pins are dots that point to the location of your website visitors) etc. When done, you just have to copy a block of code and paste it into your website.
The data is dynamic, and gets updated automatically without having to reload the page.
Here’s a map of visitors currently viewing this particular page:
RSS readers will have to come to the web page to view this map, though.

I think this map will suitable for blogspot blog and not for serious blog.
I normally use google analytics for this. I dont think its gonna be a good option unless you dont have anything to put in your sidebar or it matches perfectly with your site’s design.
it will be helpful to medium to large traffic sites as per my thought.
The service is good but as Ken XU said . It does look good on blogspot .
I agree with Ken Xu, this wont be much useful for a hosted blog. I had used a similar service for my blogger blog.
not new but cool tool . nice post .
How does this compare with Clustrmaps?
Google analytic is the best one. BTW nice Post
normally i mistyped this site for among.us, not amung.us. amung seems a bit funny.
Probably this map wouldn’t be a good add to a professional blog
@Kenny: Maps.amung.us gives a live view of readers, whereas ClustrMaps doesn’t.
@Techmalaya: Haha! Me too.
would love one of those in my site reports…
@Ashwini: Thanks for dropping by.
