Photobucket, one of my favourite image uploading services has gone ahead and added some new and exciting features. Photobucket now sports a slightly redesigned homepage, private/public setting of photo albums, enhanced Adobe Premier to edit and remix photos and videos.
One important feature that has been added recently is the ability to bulk upload photos to your Photobucket account via a web-based interface.
Bulk Upload Photos
The bulk upload tool can be accessed by logging into your account, and clicking on the ‘Bulk Upload’ button under the uploading options box. You need to have Javascript enabled on your browser in order for it to work seamlessly. Once the bulk uploader is loaded, you get a Windows Explorer-like interface that you can use to upload photos to your album.
Navigate to the right folder using the left panel, click on the required image and is immediately added to the uploading cart. While it’s there, you can rotate the picture to your needs and also add a spicy description. Click the ‘Upload’ button and you’re done.
It’s a very useful addition to the already existing tools on Photobucket, I’d say. I desperately needed this one. There’s also a way to bulk upload photos from inside your Windows Explorer itself, there’s a tutorial over here.

Photobucket is truly one of the best image hosting services available. I used it a lot when I had not bought hosting. But yes, the bulk uploader is quite useful. I’ll share some wallpapers with my readers now
Its a useful feature, but i prefer Flickr over photobucket for photos.
By far PhotoBucket has been the image hosting site of choice and preference. The main feature I have been using extensively, which I have not found in other image hosts is the ‘readymade’ url code in different formats. I peruse many forums which use the BBCode and hotlinking to an image is just a matter of clicks.
With recent funding, the UI has evolved from the very clunky and basic to Web2.0 Ajaxy shined.
For blogging support for image hosts, IM(H)O, none better than Photobucket!
i preferred imageshack over photobucket precisely for this reason. Now I am comfortable with using imageshack.but guess I can alternate between photobucket and imageshack now.it has been a long time since I used my photobucket a/c
I ve used photobucket previously and it was a nice service but ever since flickr can be used synonymously with yahoo id i am hooked with it..also the bulk uploading of flickr is the best i ve even seen .

yea flickr is good , but bulk uploading means you must have some good upload speed
I use PhotoBucket for my blog images! So far, I have used Flock’s integration with Flickr & PhotoBucket to upload pics as it’s media bar feature is so well implemented. But, PhotoBucket has taken a step in the right direction and continues to add features.
Looking forward to trying Flock 1.0. I know Nirmal has tried it already.
photobucket is providing such a wonderful service and I’m glad that they are now heading towards improving the user experience

@Ram: Sure, flickr is definitely the best but Photobucket comes in handy when you want to host your not so important files and share with your buddies immediately or put it on your web pages.

I didn’t know about this feature, it seems to be very helpful, but the thing I am concern about Photobucket is the privacy of my photos that’s why I am using other photo sharing services like Joomeo (http://www.joomeo.com)
