  5. I never knew that uTorrent was acquired by BitTorrent. Let’s hope to see some good features in BitTorrent now. But I still prefer uTorrent. It’s the best uTorrent client!

  6. Bittorrent acquired utorrent . Thats why the interface looked very much similar .

  7. uTorrent seem to be like a standard thesedays, who ever I see, uses uTorrent. I wonder why BitTorrent is still developing it, why not change focus on uTorrent?

  8. i basically don’t use a torrent application instead using limewire p2p which also enables me to download torrent files. But bit torrent was one of my past favs.

    I have got a question :- is it uTorrent or µTorrent ?? and how to write µTorrent (I copied it from Downloadsquad) I mean any ASCII key(I created a PHP program for this but couldnt see it among 256 ASCIIs)

    @Haris: uTorrent is many people’s favourite, nice and tiny little app :)
    @Thilak: That’s what everybody wonders, it seems like they want to develop both the apps together
    @SankarAnand: Even I don’t use one, I’ve never used a torrent application on _personal interest_ :) I have a fear of spywares getting into my PC :P
    @Siddharth: Haha! It’s actually µTorrent, but lazy people like me type uTorrent. I have no clue of how to do that, the best thing to do like you did is to copy paste :D

  11. @Shankar: I think they might soon merge BT with uTorrent. BTW, Torrent clients don’t bring any spyware (atleast uTorrent didn’t), but it’s what you download from the protocol

    And yeah, I know that only those files bring in malicious stuff, but I’m still scared to download via torrents.

  16. I think its a better idea to use utorrent. bittorrent is not providing that great features but then again, I will give it a try when i get back.

  17. utorrent? I’m still using bitcomet 0.70. Somehow, this application could steal bandwidth and I’m happy with it. :)
    I downloaded 2 Gb files but in the bandwidth record is only 1.4Gb. Strange, but it benefiting me. :P

  18. Guys you are still using Bittorrent and utorrent.
    Give a try to Flashget its better than other torrent softwares.

    nice post nd thnx btw no one is talking about Shareaza(shareaza.com), m using this from 2yrs. its a free software.

    I strongly recommend this software for P2P downloaders.

  25. To write an µ just use the combination ctrl+alt+M. Didn’t bother to check in charmap for the alt-XXXX code, but if you want to see all possible symbols and their alt-XXXX code, just open the start menu -> run -> charmap -> press enter
