Download Yahoo Messenger 9
Yahoo! has released a peppy new beta version of Yahoo Messenger – Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Beta with loads of improved features. Yahoo! Messenger 9 sports a new design, with around 5 colourful skins available by default.

Yahoo Messenger 9 has an improved contacts list, and offers easy-to-access options like the ability to instant message, text message, call your buddy – everything is just a click away. Other Address Book contacts are also displayed below the normal contacts list on Yahoo! Messenger 9.
Stop Yahoo! Messenger from starting up with Windows
Yahoo! Messenger is a popular Instant Messenger for Yahoo! users. Most of you download it, and use it only occasionally. Yahoo! Messenger, by default, starts up when Windows starts. If you don’t like Yahoo Messenger starting up with Windows, you’ll have to remove it from the start up list in msconfig. But, the fact is that it doesn’t work.

Even if you remove the Yahoo Messenger program from the msconfig start up list, it rewrites itself into the startup list again. There’s a way to get rid of this. Here’s how:
Pagerank 5
Google caused lots of confusion among bloggers this time, with the PR update penalizing blogs that were selling links on their sites. Thankfully, this blog got PageRank 5 this update.

Quality posts, participation in group writing projects, support from fellow bloggers helped in achieving this PR
Some of my friends’ blogs had a PR drop, I’m sorry for them. Traffic wise, I noticed a slight increase in traffic a few days before the PR bar turned green here.
FriendFeed – One feed to keep track of all your friend’s activities
FriendFeed is a new entrant to the web 2.0 social networking arena, and seems quite useful. The FriendFeed service tracks and aggregates content from people’s accounts across different web services.

Upon signing up for FriendFeed, you can add a list of services to your account (Twitter, YouTube, Picasa, Google Reader shared items, etc) by providing your usernames, and you get an aggregated feed listing the latest activities. You can share this feed with others, and also subscribe to similar feeds from your online buddies.
Make Defragmentation faster
Most guides on speeding up Windows XP tell you to do many things, and I’m sure all of those guides tell you to defragment your hard drive once in a while to make Windows XP function faster.

The default Windows Defragmenter isn’t a good choice if you want to defragment your computer’s hard drive. The Windows Defrag tool is ridiculously slow, and tests your patience like nothing else can.
September Digest
The month of September didn’t witness spikes in traffic like it was in the last month. Yet, this month had the highest number of visitors from Google which makes me glad
