If you’re the kind of a person who generally hangs out on various instant messengers, and has an ever growing buddy list (that kinda annoys you sometimes), this tool is for you.
HyperIM is a little tool that acts as a funky status manager for all your instant messengers. HyperIM works with Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and many other instant messaging clients.
HyperIM, by default includes a status changer plugin for Google Talk, Skype, Windows Live and Yahoo Messenger, etc. Supporting most audio players, HyperIM can set the music that’s currently playing as your status. Another HyperIM plugin displays posts from an RSS feed to your IM status.
With this skinnable instant messenger statuses manager, you can show off what windows you’re working on to your friends too, thanks to the ‘What Am I doing?’ plugin. A uTorrent plugin is there for you to show off your torrent statistics in your instant messenger status.
HyperIM instant messenger status manager has special tools targeted specifically at Yahoo Messenger 6.0 - 8.0 that include an autoreplying feature, buddy alerter, etc.
You can change your statuses with the press of a hot key on your keyboard.

I wonder who uses so many different IMs. I use Yahoo, MS, Google and Skype. Oops, that’s long as well. Maybe I should try this.
On a different note, it irritates me to see that cross platform IMs like Miranda and Pidgin do not support video chat to any other IMs. Can you find a tool to solve that

@Sumesh: As far as I know, IMs that support multiple protocols don’t support video chats at the moment.
