Hmm… Nice. But I like Windows XP itself.

I now hate the Vista look. I have gone back to using Windows XP after using Windows Vista Business for more than 2 months.

You seem to write about this pack a lot, but do you actually like it? Yuck. I hate Vista’s glassy look all over the park.

Mac’s slick, though, and I use Flyakiteosx. I’d recommend it over Vista Pack anyday

How much memory does it take up. If it slows up the system I’m not going to try it.

I tried Ver 7 but all it did change was my fonts. Hope i have better experiance with this.

@Aseem, Nirmal: Well, to be frank, it does take up memory. I’d advise you to install it only if you have 512 MB of RAM.
@Manas: Hehe, I’ve never tried Vista first hand though.
@Sumesh: Hehe I LOVE it, but I DON’T use it because my computer is already crammed up for resources. Flyakite’s good too. I’ve tried it before a year or so.

i was using Vistamizer on my desktop which has XP. This one seems to be better with the transparency.

I have been using this for the past 20 days and I really like it, its got no problems so far…

I tried installing the VTP 8 on machine but it throws some sort of an error stating, unable to install due to the presence of some other XP security updates. Can anyone please suggest me what can I do? it would be of good help.

if I use this pack, will I be able to go back to XP?

what the hell should i do with all those three files, each of size around 27 megs..
hmm shit!

Everytime when I click on the setup file it gives an error message and it stops the setup. I send the report to Microsoft but that doesnt help me…

no one is helping about error problem…:-(

For the error, I extracted the contents of the installer and ran the vtp.exe. Still had a small error when it couldn’t find a file but I think that is just my machine, I’ve messed with it too much! Go to a cmd prompt, change to the folder it is in and type this in:
“Vista Transformation Pack 8.0.1.exe” /x c:tempextract
this would extract the contents to c:tempextract.
See if that helps any.

If you are having problems installing, extract the files as above:

“Vista Transformation Pack 8.0.1.exe” /x c:vtp
this would extract the contents to c:vtp

Then go into “System Properties” in “My Computer”‘s properties, select the advanced tab, then the “Environment Variables” button, and edit the “Path” entry, adding “;C:vtp” to the end of the line. Save and exit back to the desktop, open a command prompt window in C:vtp and enter the “vivp” command. TYou should be good to go!

If you are having issues with installing the file just use Safe Mode, it is the best way to go. That’s what I did and it worked just fine.

Just use vistamizer…..
